Marionettebau - Uwe Sörensen

My puppet workshop has existed for about 30 years, first in Hamburg and for several years in Bavaria.

I build marionettes based on my own or customer ideas, portrait marionettes based on photos or templates, marionettes for puppet theaters or film productions or just for playing or as a display object.

The two standard sizes of my dolls are 50-60 (approx. 2 - 3kg) or 65-75cm (approx. 3 - 4kg), depending on the type. Special sizes are of course possible.

Each puppet is handmade in my workshop.

The heads are modeled in several layers and are quite light thanks to a special core. After the skin colors are applied, they are fixed several times.

The porcelain eyes with glass lenses, which are made especially for my dolls, make my artist dolls look particularly lifelike. To determine the eye color for portrait marionettes, I send a color chart.

I use natural materials as much as possible.
